Welcome to our January NIPC eBulletin. I want to take the opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Things are certainly starting to look up. I profoundly hope that predictions of COVID-endgame turn out to be correct. It’s so great to feel the return to normalcy.
Ireland is not perfect but I am so grateful to be living here, where we can all come together in a crisis and act for the common good. Our vaccination programme and vaccination uptake are no better displays of this. Other countries have not been as cohesive nor have they performed nearly so well.
With a return to normalcy, I am optimistic that NIPC can make an even bigger impact this year, across our educational and research activities.
A reminder to sign up for our Heart Valve Session on Feb 4th as well as our NIPC Series on 8th March on Women’s Heart Health.
