Thank you to all our speakers, delegates and sponsors who attended the 16th West of Ireland Integrated Diabetes Care Conference in the Sligo Park Hotel on Saturday 14th October 2023. It was exciting to see a lot of new faces along with so many familiar faces that we see at our NIPC events and conferences. The initial feedback we have received has been overwhelmingly positive with so many of you being inspired by our speakers and workshop leaders. Congratulations to Deirdre Doherty, on winning The Pat Barron Perpetual Trophy for her abstract ‘The impact of telehealth clinics on patients with diabetes mellitus in a secondary care setting during the COVID-19 pandemic.’
A special congratulations goes to Dr O’Reilly’s on being presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s 16th West of Ireland Integrated Diabetes Care Conference. Orlaith’s vision and hard work throughout the years has helped transform the way integrated care is now implemented and will leave a lasting legacy that can be built upon.
