Welcome all to our NIPC September eBulletin. It’s great to see children going back to school and to have a better sense of what our ‘new normal’ will look like over the next few months to years. While another surge and lockdown are both quite possible in the coming weeks, I’m also choosing to not dwell on that by thinking optimistically and getting on with life.

NIPC are also getting on with our agenda to reduce CVD in Ireland. For example, I look forward to 2 fantastic upcoming virtual meetings – save the date for;
1) The National Diabetes Integrated Care Conference scheduled for October 31st and
2) Our annual National Prevention Conference, now in its 7th year and scheduled for November 20th.

Both are online. At the latter meeting in November, we will be announcing our new associated and full “NIPC Fellows” so I encourage you to consider applying before the extended deadline of September 11th. All professions and levels of experience will be considered and you can check out the application criteria here.
