About 1 in 40 adults in the general population are affected by Heart Valve Disease and this rises to over 1 in 10 in those over the age of 75 years. This growth is related to increasing expectancy and our ageing population resulting in degenerative conditions, such as Heart Valve Disease, becoming more frequent. Increased awareness and early detection of this condition can dramatically change disease progression.
In this recording, Dr Darren Mylotte highlights the importance of early detection and Ms Sarah Early provides an overview of new treatments and innovations in Heart Valve Disease. Watch the recording now.
