NIPC Delivers EuroAspire VI Study Clinics in Sligo

NIPC recently led the delivery of the EuroAspire VI study clinics in Sligo, working in collaboration with Croí and our colleagues from the HRB-funded Clinical Research Facility Galway, using the Croi Mobile Health Hub as a clinical base on the ATU Sligo campus. Over three days, our team facilitated the recruitment and assessment of HSE patients from across the North and North-West who had recently experienced a cardiac event.

This work forms part of the Irish arm of EuroAspire VI — a major European study evaluating how cardiovascular disease prevention guidelines are being implemented in real-world settings to reduce risk and improve long-term health outcomes. The event also reflected strong partnership across research, health and education sectors, involving NIPC, Croí, ATU Sligo, the HSE, and University of Galway.
