The Delivering Evidence-based Obesity Management Advanced Practice 3-month online course reflects the latest advances in obesity science and management, empowering participants to adopt a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
Emphasis is placed on translating evidence into practice and supporting healthcare professionals to deliver personalised, compassionate and effective care. Participants will learn a broad range of topics, including the ASOI Obesity Clinical Practice Guidelines, the epidemiology of obesity in Ireland, patient perspectives and the impact of weight stigma, obesity assessment and treatment in primary care, medical nutritional therapy, physical activity, psychological and behavioural interventions and the management of obesity-related complications.
Applicants can choose between two course start dates, the 6th of October OR the 10th of November.
