Supporting people to become more physically active is one of the most effective ways healthcare professionals can improve long-term health outcomes and reduce the burden of chronic disease. Delivering Evidence-Based Physical Activity Behaviour Change in Primary Care and Community Settings is a free, 3-month online education programme designed to equip healthcare professionals across Ireland with the knowledge, skills and confidence to promote physical activity and support sustainable behaviour change in everyday clinical practice.

Participants will also develop practical skills in motivational interviewing, measurement and monitoring and goal setting, enabling them to confidently support patients in adopting and maintaining healthier, more active lifestyles.

Applicants can choose between two course start dates, the 16th of September OR the 14th of October. Please note that completion of the HSE Making Every Contact Count (MECC) e-Learning course is a mandatory pre-course requirement.
